ANNOUNCING CARTS 50th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

In 2028 we are having one last CARTALUMNI REUNION. In a month, TBD, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of CART.

Yes, it will be the 50th anniversary of Dan Gurney, Pat Patrick and Roger Penske publishing "The White Paper".

Plan on being in INDY, 2028, for one last ride of CARTALUMNI. So come and see your CART family, possibly for one last time. You won't regret being there.

This will be open to ALL past CART member.

CART 50th Anniversary Reunion – Committee Volunteers Needed!

We’re looking for a few members of our CART community who are interested in serving on a committee to help plan our 50th Anniversary Reunion, slated for fall 2028!

We are looking for:

• One person to chair the committee
• Approximately 5–6 additional committee members

We’re looking for people who are dedicated, organized, enthusiastic, and driven to help make this a truly special event.

This is more than just another reunion. Our 50th Anniversary Reunion will be a very special milestone — and, for many of us, it may be the last opportunity to come together as a CART family and celebrate the people, friendships, experiences, and memories that have connected us for so many years.

Fifty years of CART is something worth celebrating — and we want to create a reunion that properly honors the incredible history of CART and the people who were a part of it. It will be a chance to reconnect with old friends, share stories, laugh about the good old days, and make new memories together while we still have the opportunity to gather as a group.

If you have a little time, a lot of enthusiasm, and a love for the CART family, we’d love to have you be part of making this final celebration something truly unforgettable.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee for CART Alumni, I would like to proudly welcome you to our new website. This website has been designed with you in mind, our members, making it a ‘destination’ webpage for news and updates on events and happenings on a 365 days per year basis.

For those of you who have attended past reunions, you know the feeling that was in the air as we gathered, once again, as we had done for years on so many weekends to perform our role in producing excellent spectator racing events at so many diverse venues.

I am very proud of what we have accomplished as an organization, due to the skills of so many. As we cannot promise these reunions will turn into annual events, we do hope you will join us at future reunions.

Our History

The CART Alumni Committee was formed in 2015 with the intent of allowing the drivers, team members, officials, media, volunteers and staff of the sanctioning body originally organized and operated as CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams which then transformed into both Indycar and Champ Car, 1979-2008), to have an opportunity to gather, recognize and honor the members of the organization as listed above; and its participants, officials, and workers.
